PURPOSE:To improve the quality of the flux by previously determining the relation between a melting temp. and the concn. of CO in a produced gas and ending melting at the point of the time when the concn. of the CO in the produced gas measured during a melting treatment attains the concn. corresponding to a desired melting temp. CONSTITUTION:The relation between the melting temp. and the concn. of the CO in the produced gas is previously determined for each of the kinds of molten raw materials and compounding ratios at the time of the melting treatment of the fused flux. The melting is ended at the point of the time when the concn. corresponding to the desired melting temp. is attained. Tapping at the desired molten metal temp. which is the terminal of melting is possible in this way and the high-quality product having excellent color tones and welding workability is obtd. |
