PURPOSE:To detect the tension of a stranded wire continuously with simple construction by providing a pulley which is made freely slidable in the tension direction of the stranded wire on the inlet side of a take-off capstan of a wire twister, and connecting a load cell to said pulley. CONSTITUTION:This device consists of a capstan shaft 10 into which a hollow shaft 6 is fitted and a clearance 11 is formed between the shaft 10 and the shaft 6. Since there is said clearance 11, a pulley 5 can slide freely in the tension F direction of a stranded wire 1 when the tension of the wire is exerted upon the pulley 5. If the tension F of the stranded wire is exerted upon such pulley 5, the force trying to slide the pulley 5 is generated and this force is conducted via a connecting bar 7 to a load cell 3. Then the tension F is read directly from the cell 3 whereby the tension is known easily. |
