<p>When analog video signals including half-tone video signals and binary video signals are converted into a video signal having an increased number of scanning lines, a video signal processor of the invention does not lose vividness in the binary video display. In this processor the input video signals are divided into half-tone video data and binary video data. The portion in the half-tone data, from which the binary data were removed, are filled with the half-tone video data appearing just before the binary video data start. The half-tone video data and the binary video data are separately stored in a storage means. The half-tone video data are subjected to an ordinary analog enlargement interpolation such as linear interpolation, and the binary video data are subjected to a binary enlargement interpolation. The resultant half-tone video data and binary video data are combined together again.</p> |
