RESIN FOR PRINTING INK, PRODUCTION THEREOF AND INK FOR PRINTING METAL

PURPOSE:To provide the subject resin having excellent printing suitability to aqueous type overprinting varnishes by reacting a polybasic carboxylic anhydride with a monohydric alcohol in a specific ratio and further with a polyhydric alcohol. CONSTITUTION:(A) 1mol of a polybasic carboxylic anhydride is reacted with (B) 0.5-1.8mol of a 6-26C monohydric alcohol and the remaining carboxylic acid (anhydride) is further reacted with (C) a polyhydric alcohol to provide the objective resin having a remaining hydroxy group equivalent of 50-500 (preferably 100-300). The resin reduces the misting of printed images and prevents the deterioration of working environments.
