<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a press fabric having a controlled void volume and permeability by applying a thin layer of a polymeric foam to the surface of a press fabric, drying/solidifying the foam, and curing the coated press fabric. CONSTITUTION: This press fabric, improved in moisture-removing characteristics, is obtained by applying a thin layer of a polymeric foam, preferably polyurethane foam, to the surface of a press fabric of wool, nylon or the like, drying/ solidifying the foam, preferably in the air at room temperature, and curing the coated press fabric.</p> |
