PURPOSE:To improve the picture quality with a fast processing by inverting a color of a center picture element and reflecting the result onto the succeeding processing when the center picture element of a binary coded image data differs from the color of 8 surrounding picture elements and the center picture element has the same color as that of one row or column at the outside of a matrix. CONSTITUTION:When a discrimination means 12 discriminates it that one picture element in the center of a matrix (of 9 picture elements being the result of an image data stored in the 1st storage means 10 by 3 lines outputted for 3 picture elements each for each line) has an opposite color to that of the surrounding 8 picture elements or one picture element in the center is the same color as that of three picture clements of one row or column at the outside of the matrix, a picture element inverting means 14 applies inverting processing to the color of the one picture element in the center. Then the picture elements not requiring inverting processing and the picture element subject to inversion processing are outputted and the result of inversion is reflected by taking the picture element inverted by the picture element inversion means 14 as the picture element at the head of the center line in the 3 lines outputted from the 1st storage means 10. Thus, the picture is reproduced with fidelity at a high speed processing. |
