Screened electrical equipment with filters built into screen - has sealed opening in wall for connections which pass through screen between inner and outer wiring

The wall (10) of the housing enclosing the equipment has an opening (11) for electrical leads (15,16) and partly stripped insulated wires (25,26). The opening (11) is sealed (12) with e.g. adhesive or packing material after imposition of a screening plate (13) of plastic into which the filter elements are built. Connection pins (22) project from conical sections (21) at both ends of each filter (20) for solder jointing to the outer insulated wires (25,26) and to the inner leads (15,16) which are wrapped around solder rings (24). A bent plate (31) joins the screen (13) to a circuit board (32). A separate bore and filter are no longer required for each feedthrough connection in the wall (10). ADVANTAGE - Electrical leads can be taken through wall of housing in considerably simplified manner.
