PURPOSE:To reduce a cost by stably manufacturing an optical memory device of constant quality by forming a recording part as performing masking on a substrate of sheet shape which performs continuous movement successively. CONSTITUTION:A continuous substrate 2 of sheet shape is supplied from a sheet supply means 8 to a recording forming part 9 successively. The forming part 9 is provided in argon gas atmosphere, and the recording part is formed successively on the plane of the substrate 2 by a mask 13 of endless belt shape on which a transmission window 13a moving at speed equivalent to that of the substrate 2 is formed and a sputtering device 14 provided underneath the mask. Also, on the downstream side of the forming part 9, a guide track forming part 10 is provided, and a pattern formed on the circumferential plane of a roller 10a is transferred. In such a way, it is possible to manufacture the optical memory device successively, and to stabilize quality and to reduce the cost. |
