PURPOSE:To make it possible to use a variable capacity compressor for an air conditioner capable of independent temperature control with an automobile cabin divided into a plural number of air conditioning zones, by determining a compressor capacity using one with the lowest temperature when there is a plural number of setting for target blowoff temperature. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 46 calculates a target blowoff temperature T1 for the front seat and then a target blowoff temperature T2 for the rear seat after putting in output signals from various sensors 47-49 and setting apparatus 50, 51 including a cabin temperature sensor 47. Next, if T1=T2, capacity control is made of a compressor 8. That is, the capacity control is achieved by determining a target evaporator temperature under a characteristic curve for T1 and adjusting the amount of power conduction Isol to a solenoid coil 21 to assure the temperature TE of an evaporator 7 becomes a target evaporator temperature. On the other hand, if a case is judged to be T1>T2 instead of T1=T2, the capacity control of the compressor 8 is performed as described above in accordance with the target blowoff temperature T2 for the rear seat, i.e., corresponding to a lower target blowoff temperature. |
