<p>PURPOSE:To attain the stable feed of a tape by suppressing the dynamic fluctuation of tension by detecting a reel inertia moment from the fluctuation of tape tension and a tape diameter at the time of varying the speed of a capstan, and adjusting the gain of a tension control system corresponding to the inertia moment. CONSTITUTION:The angle signals of tension arms 4 and 5 are inputted to a reel control circuit 22, and the maximum value of an error signal with a targeted angle is detected, and a ratio of the reel inertia moment to the tape diameter is calculated from the value. Next, the speed of the tape 3 and the rotating speed of reels 1 and 2 are detected at encoders 18, 10, and 11, and the tape diameter is fond by a winding diameter detecting means 19, and is inputted to the circuit 22. The circuit 22 calculates the reel inertia moment by multiplying the reel inertia moment to the tape diameter by the tape diameter. Then, the gain of the tape tension control system is adjusted by the reel inertia moment and the tape diameter. In such a manner, it is possible to stably feed the tape by suppressing the dynamic fluctuation of the tension less than a constant value.</p> |
