<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently treat filth within a short time, by circulating water to be purified so that the water repeatedly flows through a honeycomb core provided in the circulating water line to treat the water with microbes implanted inside the cells of the honeycomb core. CONSTITUTION:Honeybomb cores 2, 2 are provided in a manner such that the direction of running water through them is in parallel with that of a water stream, and driving pumps 3, 3 are provided in an annular water line 1. The driving pumps 3, 3 nearly tangentially open their suction pipes 4 to the upperstream side of the water and their spouts 5 to the downstream side. When raw water is circulated through the annular water line 1 at a flow speed of 1.5m per minute, the removal of BOD up to 90% or its vicinity can be performed by a stay of 2hrs inside the honeycomb cores. In this way, the raw water of 420ton per hour is supplied from the supply pipe 7 of a dam 6 or the like, while the same amount of purified water is discharged through a drain pipe 8.</p> |
