PURPOSE:To obtain a superconducting thin ceramic film having improved denseness, uniform compsn., and improved critical current density by using a soln. consisting of each org. compd. of a rare earth element, alkaline earth element, Cu, in a stage of forming a thin film of fine powder of oxide consisting of the rare earth element, alkaline earth element, Cu, and O, and specifying a calcination temp. of the thin film. CONSTITUTION:After mixing unformly fine oxide powder constituted of a rare earth element, an alkaline earth element, Cu, and O, with a soln. of an org. compd. of each of the above-described element, the mixture is formed to a film, which is then calcined at 850-940 deg.C in O2-contg. atmosphere. Thus, a superconducting ceramic thin film consisting of crystallites of superconducting oxide having <=5mu mean particle size is obtd. Since the afore-mentioned org. compd. is transformed to a superconducting oxide at relatively low temp. and obtd. powder can be hardened at a low temp., the growth of the powder particles is retarded and the particles are sintered densely. Moreover, presence of a layer of impurities in the grain boundary is inhibited. |
