PURPOSE:To improve working efficiency and safety by a method wherein long bolts are inserted through the respective box holes of two segments by utilizing a pneumatic lift and nuts are fastened by using a nut runner and a nut holder which are inserted in the two respective box holes. CONSTITUTION:A nut runner 19 is inserted in a bolt box hole 2' of a segment 1' positioned facing a segment 1 containing long bolts 6 and 6 through respective bolt box holes 2, and nuts 7' and 7' are positioned facing each other in bolt holes 5 and 5'. A pneumatic lift is exerted on the end face, on the reverse side to the nut runner side, of the long bolts 6 and 6 to extrude the long bolts 6 and 6 to the nut runner 19 side. A nut holder 20 is inserted in the bolt box hole 2, and the nuts 7 and 7 are pressed against the end part on the long bolts 6 and 6 side. The nuts 7 and 7' are rotationally driven by means of the nut runner 19 for fastening, and the two segments 1 and 1' are fastened together through the long bolts 6 and 6. |
