PURPOSE:To provide a head with high density of nozzles which causes no curving of an ink jetting when it is discharged, by providing split electrodes in symmetrical relation to the arranging direction of air outlets on the surface of an air nozzle plate provided with said plurality of air outlets confronting to a plurality of ink outlets. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of air outlets 101-106 are formed on the surface of an air nozzle plate 201, and split electrodes 121'-126' are provided i a band- like shape in the periphery of respective air outlets. In other words, the split electrodes 121'-126' are provided in symmetrical relation to the arranging direction of the air outlets 101-106. Accordingly, because of this symmetrical arrangement of split electrodes 121'-126', ink drops during flight which have conventionally been curved towards where the electrodes are led out when the ink is discharge from one nozzle are not curved. When a voltage is applied to a plurality of nozzle, the influence between the nozzles is negated because of the symmetrical arrangement of the split electrodes 121'-126'. Moreover, since it is not necessary to provide an electrode of a large area in the periphery of each air outlet 101-106, the pitch between the nozzles can be reduced, while the recording density raised. |
