摘要 PURPOSE: To enable sintering without losing an excellent structure by superrapid cooling, at the time of compacting and sintering superrapidly cooled powder of molten metals or alloys to compacting and sintering, by charging it into a vessel made of ceramic and energizing under specified high voltage at a high electric current in a short time while it is pressurized. CONSTITUTION: A molten alloy is superrapidly cooled by a water atomizing method, a gas atomizing method or the like, and even elements which hardly enter into solid solution in an equivalent state largely enter into solid solution, also, supersaturated solid solution elements are uniformly and finely dispersed and precipitated by the subsequent heat treatment, and a part of the structure is made amorphous to produce fine powder of metals or alloys having excellent physical properties. At the time of compacting and sintering this fine powder without losing its excellent structure by the rapid cooling, the fine powder is charged into a vessel made of ceramic, a high electric current of 50 KA/cm<2> is flowed therein under >3KV voltage in a short time of 10 to 500 micro seconds in an electric circuit having a capacitor of large capacity while it is pressurized from the upper part, and sintering is executed. The metal powder sintered body free from deterioration in the excellent characteristics by the superrapid cooling can be produced.
