摘要 PURPOSE:To grasp the stage of progress of overheat and thereby to enable a reliable diagnosis of the overheat, by detecting the velocity of generation of minute particles due to the pyrolysis of an insulating materials, and by delivering an overheat information signal when a detected value exceeds a reference value. CONSTITUTION:A detector 10 detecting minute particles generated by the pyrolysis of an insulating material is set at an extraction pipe 6 for cooling gas 5. The output of the detector 10 is inputted in a differentiator 26 and a particle generation velocity signal S8 is obtained therefrom. When this signal exceeds a reference signal S7, a display circuit 24 informs overheat. By this constitution, a highly reliable diagnosis of the overheat can be made, since the velocity of generation of the minute particles is related to the velocity of the overheat. In addition, since the integrated value of a particle detection signal is proportional to the degree of damage of the insulating material, the damage of the insulating material can be diagnosed by inputting the detection signal in an integrator 12 and by comparing the output signal S2 thereof with a reference value S1.
