PURPOSE:To efficiently and finely perform exception handling by adding a parameter to designate a specific exception handling routine to a call form and starting the specific exception handling routine at the time of the occurrence of an exception in an operating system which detects this parameter. CONSTITUTION:When an exception occurs during the macro service processing and is not a system exception, exception handling mode designation 4 in a task control block TCB is referred; and when this designation 4 indicates the use of an exception handling routine peculiar to the task, contents of a storage position 6 of the exception handling routine peculiar to the task in the TCB are referred to start this exception handling routine. When designation 4 does not indicate the use of the exception handling routine peculiar to the task but indicates the use of an exception handling routine for each system call, a pointer 5 of the exception handling routine for each system call in the TCB is referred to start a corresponding exception handling routine. Thus, the efficiency of exception handling is improved. |
