PURPOSE:To improve the impact resistance, heat resistance, mechanical strengths, and moldabilities by compounding a polyarylene sulfide resin, a polyorganosiloxane rubber, an organosilane compd. contg. an epoxy group, and a reinforcing filler. CONSTITUTION:60-99 pts.wt. polyarylene sulfide resin (A) mainly comprising repeating units of formula I and/or formula II (wherein X is formula III, formula IV, -0-, or 1-5C alkylene; and l and m are each the number of repeating units), 40-1 pts.wt. polyorganosiloxane rubber (B) with a degree of swelling in toluene of 3-50 and a mean particle diameter of 0.1-0.5mum, and 0.01-10 pts.wt. (per 100 pts.wt. the sum of A and B) organosilane compd. contg. and epoxy group (e.g., gamma-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane) are mixed together. 100 pts.wt. resulting mixture is compounded with 0-200 pts.wt. reinforcing filler (e.g., glass fiber). |
