PURPOSE:To improve the cooling efficiency by providing a jacket side-wall to form a coolant jacket for head at least at one side inner side of both outer walls along the crankshaft direction, in a cylinder head connected to a cylinder block. CONSTITUTION:In an engine block E composed of a cylinder block Bc with plural bores 4, a cylinder head Hc connected on the upper connection surface 1 of the cylinder block Bc, and the like, the cylinder head Hc is connected to the cylinder block Bc by making the outer surfaces of the outer walls 45 and 46 at both sides along the lining-up direction of combustion chambers 31 almost corresponding to the both side surfaces of the cylinder block Bc. And a jacket side-wall 47 is provided at the inner side of the outer wall 46 in which an intake port 35 is arranged, in order to form a coolant jacket JH for head linking to a coolant jacket JB for block. As a result, the coolant circulation speed is promoted by the coolant jacket JH for head, and the cooling efficiency is improved. |
