PURPOSE:To obtain an absorption characteristic of an excellent cyan color picture and high color developability of specific cyan dye stuff forming couplers by incorporating at least one kind of the couplers into the photosensitive material. CONSTITUTION:This photosensitive material contains at least one kind of the cyan dye stuff forming couplers expressed by the formula I. In the formula, R1 denotes 1 to 22C substd. or unsubstd. straight chain or branch chain alkyl group, 3- to 8-membered substd. or unsubstd. cycloalkyl group, etc. R2 denotes a group of the same meaning as R1 or hydrogen atom; R3 denotes 1 to 24C substd. or unsubstd. alkyl group, etc.; Z denotes a hydrogen atom or group which can be eliminated by coupling reaction with the oxidant of an arom. primary amine developing agent. The amt. of the cyan couplers to be added to the photosensitive material is 0.01 to 1g/m<2>, more preferably 0.05 to 0.5g/m<2>, more preferably 0.1 to 0.3g/m<2>. The excellent absorption characteristic of the cyan color picture and the excellent color developability are obtd. in this way. |
