PURPOSE:To change the fastening start time as required by applying a spring to a plug opening a control valve in response when the highest speed stage selection pressure is lowered to the preset value in the same direction as that of the highest speed stage selection pressure. CONSTITUTION:The highest speed stage selection pressure P4A is released by the engine brake command, and an automatic transmission selects a shift stage other than the highest speed stage. A plug 106 closes a control valve 78 with this pressure and a spring 110 until the highest speed stage selection pressure is lowered to the preset value, no operating pressure is fed to an engine brake friction element O/C, and it is not fastened. When the highest speed stage selection pressure P4A is lowered to the preset value, the control valve 78 is opened against this pressure and the spring 110, and the engine brake friction element O/C is fastened. The fastening start time can be freely changed by only changing the spring force of the spring 110. |
