<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a water hammer phenomenon by partitioning a main body into an air chamber and a water chamber with a pressure receiving diaphragm made of a bag-shaped body, enveloping the bag-shaped body with the water chamber, and slenderly flattening the bag-shaped body when the pressure of the water chamber rises. CONSTITUTION:The interior of a hollow main body 1 with a cover 2 at the upper end opening is partitioned into an air chamber A and a water chamber B with a flexible pressure receiving diaphragm 4, the air chamber A is set in the pressurized state, the water chamber B is communicated and connected to a water circuit via a junction section 12 in a water hammer preventing device, and the main body 1 is formed in a long-torsoed cylindrical body 10 provided with a flange at the upper end opening and the junction section 12 at the lower end. The pressure receiving diaphragm 4 is formed in a long-torsoed bag-shaped body F enveloping all or most of the air chamber A, and the interior of the cylindrical body 10 is partitioned with this bag-shaped body F. As a result, when pressure waves are propagated to the water chamber, the surface area of a pressure absorption section is increased, the deformation resistance of the pressure absorption section when the pressure is absorbed is reduced, and a water hammer phenomenon is prevented.</p> |
