<p>PURPOSE:To easily control an input pen by informing whether the input pen is in a preliminarily provided position or not at the time of turning off a power source. CONSTITUTION:A switch 31 which is turned on/off in accordance with presence/ absence of an input pen (sensing the weight) is provided on the inside bottom part of a pen stand 30, and the state of the switch 31 is monitored by a pen detecting circuit 32. Meanwhile, this coordinate input device itself is provided with its main power supply switch 36, and power-off detecting circuit is provided to monitor the power supply to an operation control circuit or the like. When a buzzer driving circuit 35 receives the signal, which indicates that the input pen 1 is not held on the pen stand 30, from the pen detecting circuit 32 and receives the signal, which indicates that power is not supplied to the device main body, from the power-off detecting circuit 34, the circuit 35 drives a buzzer 33 to inform the external of this state. Thus, the cordless input pen is easily controlled.</p> |
