PURPOSE:To manufacture a resin wheel for a vehicle having uniform strength and satisfactory durability by blending specific micro-short fibers into a synthetic resin base. CONSTITUTION:A rim section 3 and a disk section 4 mounted on the vehicle axle of a resin wheel 1 for a vehicle are injection molded integrally by using reinforced composite resin, and said reinforced resin is composed of a thermoplastic synthetic resin base mixed with micro-short fibers. The base is an industrial resin of superior strength, resistance to impact and resistance to fatigue, and polyester resin, polycarbon resin, nylon and the like can be utilized suitably. As for micro-short fiber, synthetic resin fiber such as aramid or the like, and also inorganic fiber such as carbon fiber, glass fiber, metallic fiber or the like, or needle-like fiber such as whisker or the like can be used. Said micro-short fiber to be used is of 0.1mum or more to 100mum or less diameter. At least half of the quantity of the micro-short fibers to be blended should be of fiber length of 1mm or more to 20mm or less. Also, at least the aspect ratio as the diameter ratio to the length of half quantity should be 70 or more. Also, the micro-short fibers are blended in the range of 10 or more to 75wt.% or less. |
