The device comprises a casing (1) on which is mounted an axially movable widener (3) consisting of separate sections (11) arranged in a ring-like manner along the periphery of the casing (1) and movable in radial directions. The casing (1) is provided on its external surface with a main stop (4) and with an additional stop (5) mounted in the proximity of the main stop (4) and interacting by its external surface (13) with the internal surface of the sections (11) of the widener (3). The external surface (13) of the additional stop (5) is inclined in the direction of a part (2) of the casing (1) which influences the ground.
