PURPOSE: To increase the processing speed and downsize the device by selecting the cutting knife of the size corresponding to the diameter of the conductor of a wire segment. CONSTITUTION: When a wire A is sent through a cutting and strip mechanism 26, an energizing member 65 is energized and closes a relevant jaw 52A. The set of a cutting and strip knife 75 being made in such size that it cuts only an insulating cover, excluding a conductor is energized at a processing point PP by the energization of upper and lower transducers 91 and 93. Then, upper and lower cylinders 97 come close to each other to close the cutting and strip knife 75. After cutting of the conductor, the set of the cutting and strip knife stays at a close position, and the jaw 52A catching the wire A shifts to the upstream end of the wire A. The knife 80A, which was closing when the wire A was pulled in, strips the insulating cover from the end cut anew of the wire A from a pulley 10A. |
