The present invention relates to a device for adjusting the flow rate of a fluid. The device comprises a member 5 for sequentially controlling stopper means 8, 9, 10 and capable of moving relative to them, the member 5 mechanically actuates at least one of the stopper means 8, 9, 10 into several given fixed positions, in order to free the associated passage 8a, 9a, 10a. The present invention finds an application particularly for adjusting the idle of an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle. <IMAGE>
