PURPOSE:To perform the high-speed rotation of great torque by detecting the rotational speed of a variable reluctance motor, to detect whether rotor salient- poles are under being approached to or separated from stator phase poles, and by controlling the starting and stopping of electrification to stator windings. CONSTITUTION:By a magnetic pole position sensor 2 fitted on the shaft of a reluctance motor SRM, it is detected whether rotor salient poles are under being approached to or separated from stator phase poles, and the output of position signals SA, SB is generated, and the input together with the output Nf of a coaxial speed sensor 4, to an electrification time controlling block 8 is provided. By the block 8, electrification controlling signals Sa-Sd are created, and the output is directed to respective phase driving circuits 30A-30D. The speed signal Nf is compared 32 with a specification speed N* and is proportionally integrated 34, and current limiting signal Vc is formed and is compared CP with phase current Via-Vid found with a CT, and the output of current limiting signal Vl is generated. In the respective phase driving circuits 30A-30D, logic arithmetic is performed on the signal Vl and the signals Sa-Sd, and the signals are amplified AMP, and electrifying and stopping the current of coils La-Ld are controlled. |
