Panel characterised in that it totally covers the end faces with a cut-out substantially adjacent to the perimeter of the plane of cross-section of the body 1 of the package at the level of its ends and in that it is applied to each of the ends 2 and 3 and immobilised on the body of the package by firm attachment or by the support of structures which can be folded down against the adjacent faces 8 and 9 of the body of the package.
