The invention concerns an arrangement 1 making it possible to hold the snow on a sheet metal roof 3 with end joints, which arrangement consists of an assembly intended to be fixed above the roof plane 3 in such a way as to present stop surfaces perpendicular to the said plane, and of which the lower edges are slightly spaced apart from the latter in order to allow water to flow. It is characterised in that it consists of an assembly of two symmetrical parts 1a, 1b in the form of an L-shaped angle bracket comprising a turned-down edge 4a, 4b perpendicular to the roof plane 3 and perpendicular to the joint 2. The two symmetrical parts 1a, 1b are arranged on each side of the said joint 2 and are connected to each other by a double screw/nut system 5, 6 whose axes pass below bulges 7a, 7b provided on the edges 8a, 8b of the said parts. These bulges make it possible, during clamping, to take up the thickness of the joint 2 and to keep the parts 1a, 1b perfectly parallel. A complementary Z-shaped part supported by the parts 1a, 1b makes it possible to hold greater weights of snow. <IMAGE>
