This device includes, in a housing 1, a demagnetising coil 8, surrounding a core 9 pierced by a tapped hole 5 into which is screwed the threaded tail 6 of an interchangeable demagnetising spindle 2, which projects axially from this core. The housing 1 forms a bell cover surrounding the coil 81 and the edge 13 of which can be applied against the part to be demagnetised. This housing carries a push-button switch 10.
