PURPOSE:To have quick response to demand of steering speed both in the toe-in and toe-out directions by setting the operating speed of an actuator for rear- wheel steering control, in case the rear-wheel control is in toe-out direction, to a lower value than in the case of toe-in direction. CONSTITUTION:A rear-wheel steering device, which steers the left and right rear wheels at least in the toe-in direction through the action of an actuator, is equipped with an operating speed altering means MC to alter the operating speed of the actuator. A control direction judging means MA is furnished to judge if the rear-wheel control direction is in tow-in or tow-out. In case the judgement is such that the rear-wheel control direction is toe-out, the actuator operating speed shall be set by an operating speed setting means MB to a lower speed value than in the case of toe-in direction. This enables rear-wheel steering in accordance with respective demand steering speeds in both controls in the toe-in and toe-out directions. |
