PURPOSE:To reduce effectively the remaining of aramid fiber and generation of crack in FRP material produced in making a hole in FRP material by forming the hole machining edge for an ultrasonic machining tool horn by ceramic member, etc. CONSTITUTION:The tool horn 10 for an ultrasonic machine is provided with an ultrasonic converter 1 and a horn member 3 connected to the converter 1 through a booster 2. A tip 4, on which a cutting edge is to be mounted, made of nearly cylindrical metal member is mounted detachably onto the tip of the horn member 3. In addition, a hole machining edge 5, formed by a ceramic member excellent in anti-wear property and with less heat conductivity, is mounted on the tip 4. When a hole is made in FRP material using an ultrasonic machine, the edge 5 is pressed against the FRP material, ultrasonic vibration in the direction perpendicular to the FRP material is given to the wedge by the ultrasonic converter 1 through the horn member 3 and, at the same time, a motor is started to make a hole neatly. |
