PURPOSE:To enable rapid and stable bleach-fixation by using a bleach-fixing bath contg. at least 0.2mol/l ferric complex salt of an org. acid and at least 0.7mol/l silver halide fixing agent and carrying out processing with the bleach- fixing bath within 30sec. CONSTITUTION:A bleach-fixing bath contg. at least 0.2mol/l ferric complex salt of an org. acid and at least 0.7mol/l silver halide fixing agent is used and processing with the bleach-fixing bath is carried out within 30sec. The ferric complex salt is preferably a potassium, sodium or ammonium salt. A chloride is preferably allowed to exist in the bleach-fixing bath by >=2X10<-2>mol/l so as to accelerate desilvering. Rapid and stable bleach-fixation is enabled. |
