PURPOSE:To provide the subject compound useful as a raw material for preparing trans-aminomethylcyclohexanecarboxylic acid amide having an anti-ulcerous action in a high yield on industry by treating trans-dicyanocyclohexane with a specific microorganism. CONSTITUTION:Trans-1,4-dicyanocyclohexane of formula I is treated with a microorganism [e.g., Corynebacterium SP-A 68 (FERM P-10224)] having a nitrilehydrase and free of an amidase to provide the objective compound of formula II. The microorganism is obtained by treating Corynebacterium SP-C5 (FERM P-8931) as a parent strain with 300mug/ml of N-methyl-N'-nitro-N- nitrosoguanidine in a 0.1M potassium phosphate buffer solution at a pH of 7.0 for 1hr. |
