PURPOSE:To restore the lack of data by calculating the sum of products between input data and a distributed function, storing the calculated result as distributed data and executing the operation of the sum of products between the distributed data and a retrieving function in accordance with a retrieval request. CONSTITUTION:Input data 40 are distributed into respective values by a distribution input processing part 41 and stored in a storage part 43. Distributed functions to be used for distribution input processing are obtained by referring a distributed function table 52 and selecting functions intersecting with each other at right angles such as triangular functions in adjacent addresses. On the other hand, output data 46 are retrieved from the storage part 43 by restoration retrieving processing part 44. The processing part 44 selects a restoration function having reversed characteristics against a distributed function used for input from a restoration retrieving function table 51 and retrieves restoration by executing the product sum operation of the distributed data. Consequently, the destruction in a part of data is restored, and even when data volume is reduced, the restoration is retrieved.
