Mechanism enlarging chimney bore by rotary tool - inserts angular drive through inspection aperture in chimney base, with tool moved from top to base

The bore of a chimney (2) is enlarged by a rotary tool (20) which is driven by a vertical shaft (17). The tool rotatex with the shaft, but is free to slide axially along it. The lower end of the shaft is coupled to the output shaft (13) of a bevel gearbox. The horizontal input shaft (12) of the bevel gearbox passes through an inspection hole (8) in the chimney base and is connected to a second gearbox (32) which is connected to a motor (35). For enlarging the chimney bore, the tool descends from the top to the base of the chimney. ADVANTAGE - No need for machinery mounting on the chimney top.
