PURPOSE:To prevent sticking and contrive enhancement of high-speed properties and high-resolution properties by providing a thermal transfer layer on a surface of a laminate film which comprises, on a polyphenylene sulfide film, a layer containing a specified amount of particulates of a compound of a metal selected from Fe, Co and Ni. CONSTITUTION:A layer containing at least 30wt.% of particulates of a metal selected from Fe, Co and Ni is provided on one side of a polyphenylene sulfide film to produce a laminate film. A thermal transfer layer is provided on a surface of the laminate film. The polyphenylene sulfide film(PPS film) is obtained by melt-molding a resin composition comprising poly-p-phenylene sulfide as a main constituent, followed by biaxial stretching and a heat treatment. The thickness of the film is preferably 1-20mum. The metallic compound is preferably an oxide, chloride, hydroxide, carbonate, nitrate or sulfate of the above- mentioned metal. For instance, iron oxide or the like which is stable to temperature and water is preferred. The compound is used in a particulate form, the average particle diameter being preferably not more than 5mum. |
