PURPOSE:To prevent scratching or contamination from outside and to maintain reliability of the medium for a long time without suffering from pitting corrosion by using an UV-curing resion compound of cation photopolymerization type as a protective layer. CONSTITUTION:The UV-curing resin compound of cation photopolymerization type is used for the protective layer 5. This resin contains no acrylic acid, acrylate or aclyrate group and generates no organic acid in a high-humidity atmosphere compared to conventional UV-curing acrylate resin. The components of epoxy resin compound are preferably 0.1 - 10pts.wt. organic metal compounds and 0.1 - 10pts.wt. photolytic organic silicon compounds to 100pts.wt. epoxy resin. If each component is less than 0.1pts.wt., the resin can not be sufficiently hardened. On the other hand, if it exceeds 10pts.wt., troubles occur due to decomposition products of the catalyst remaining in the resin. By this method, the medium can be protected from scratching or contamination from outside and can be maintained reliable for a long time free from pitting corrosion of the magneto-optical recording layer 3. |
