PURPOSE:To connect a device conforming to the clause X to an MODEM and a device conforming to the clause V with equal communication speed to a DCE (data circuit terminating equipment), by employing a transmitter and a receiver which perform conversion so as to match logical and electrical conditions for a mutual connection circuit. CONSTITUTION:In an interface converter 1, when a device conforming to the clause V with equal communication speed is connected to a DCE2, a transmitter DV and a receiver RV which convert signals of OV, +5V of the output of a device conforming to the clause V into electric conditions conforming to the clause X are used in place of conventional transmitters and receivers in a mutual connection circuit, and a specified voltage or a ground potential is supplied to the mutual connection circuit specified in the clause V only, so as to be matched with the lines of the devices specified in the clause V. |
