Opening roof for vehicle - incorporates inner and outer frames and glass pane

The roof section is for a vehicle and is esp. usable as a sunroof. It has a glass pane etc. (14), held by a frame (11) in the roof. The frame consists of a an inner- and an outer frame (12,13), the inner frame having an open U-shaped channel (17), into which engages a fastener rail (22) on the outer frame. This has connected outer and inner flange (21,23). Wall surfaces (32,36) of channel and rail, which extend at right angles to the roof (28) plane (e) are secured by metal clamps (35) in the intermediate space (A), against a movement away from each other. The inner flange (23) has an arm-like extension (24), which engages under the edge of the glass pane (14), and which has on the end, an open holder channel (30) for the glass seal (16).
