The invention relates to a device for preventing the escape of oil in the event of damage to a pressure hose in the region of a coupling of a hydraulic line. In order to provide a device which, with little expenditure, ensures that escaping oil can be collected and thus environmental damage avoided, a flexible sleeve (9) covering the coupling (4) while leaving a clearance, being made to rest in sealing fashion on the line (3) to the outside of the said coupling by way of clamping or clamp rings (11) and having an outer, flexible collecting container (13), and at least one electric control line (14) guided on the sleeve (13) and intended for an electric switching element. <IMAGE>
