MEDICAL STAPLE AND PREPARATION THEREOF

PURPOSE:To make the leg parts of a medical staple easy to thrust in the flesh part of a patient by forming the first inclined surface positioned on a more leading end side and the second inclined surface having an angle of inclination smaller than that of said first inclined surface to the leading end parts of the medical staple. CONSTITUTION:A medical staple 1 is composed of a steel wire having an almost circular cross-section and formed into an almost horizontal U-shape by a pair of leg parts 3 extending parallelly in opposed relationship and the connection part 4 connecting said leg parts 3. A sharp end part 5 equipped with the inclined surface faced in the direction spaced apart from the other opposed leg part and consisting of the first inclined surface 6 and the second inclined surface having an angle of inclination smaller than that of the first inclined surface is provided to the leading end of each of the leg parts 3. By this constitution, the leg parts 3 are easily thrust in the flesh part of a patient and the sharp end part becomes high in mechanical strength and also becomes hard to deform.
