<p>PURPOSE:To prevent operation of a horn against a driver's will by interposing spacers between a base plate and a contact plate inside the pad of a steering wheel, and forming one plate in size smaller than the other in such a manner that the respective peripheral edges of the two plates are mutually shifted. CONSTITUTION:On one side of a base plate 4 and a contact plate 5, terminals 4a and 5a are projected in such positions as not to be mutually laminated. The terminal 4a is earthed while the terminal 5a is connected to a slip ring. Vinyl tapers 8 are wound around both bottoms of the terminals 4a and 5a, and thus, shorting of the corresponding plates 4 and 5 can be prevented. A belt-like printing layer 6 is formed around the base plate 4, and as well, circular printing layers 7 serving as spacers are formed over the whole thereof. The base plate 4 and the contact plate 5 are spaced apart from each other by the printing layers 6 and 7 so as not to be supplied with power, and thus, a horn can be kept inoperative. When a pad is pushed, the contact plate 5 is flexed so as to be brought into contact with the base plate 4, and as a result, the horn is operated. Therefore, operation of the horn against a driver's will can be prevented.</p> |
