PURPOSE:To obtain good recording quality by eliminating transfer inferiority in such a case that multicolor recording is performed in surface sequence by overlapping inks by constituting recording paper of three layers of a base material, a surface layer and a porous intermediate layer and forming the surface layer by applying heat-treatment to the intermediate layer. CONSTITUTION:Recording paper 1 is constituted of a base material 11, a porous intermediate layer 12 having numberless voids 13 and a surfaces layer 14, and the surface layer 14 is formed by heat-treating the surface of the intermediate layer 12 it the softening or melting point of a coating material or higher under pressure by a heating roller to eliminate or reduce the voids 13 in the vicinity of the surface thereof to enhance the density of the surface of the intermediate layer 12. By this constitution, even when transfer ink 3 is present between the recording paper 1 and an ink film in the pressure contact state of both of them, since the intermediate layer 12 is porous and rich in flexibility and the surface layer 14 is extremely thin, the intermediate layer 12 and the surface layer 14 are deformed and the ink film 2 is not almost deformed and an ink melting part 23 is not divided and good transfer is obtained. |
