PURPOSE:To reduce a time required for collection of gauge examination data by performing a terminal call during periods between intermittent receiving periods by using an area address common to all terminal equipments provided in an area to be communicated, releasing the intermittent reception for all terminal equipment, and creating a continuous receiving state. CONSTITUTION:When central equipment 1 sends a call signal containing an area address, all terminal equipments (2-1)-(2-n) is set to continuous receiving states after the lapse of time which is the sum of an intermittent receiving period and prescribed time and, at the same time, 2nd timers 9 to which different time is set are simultaneously actuated. Every time the 2nd timers 9 time-up, data communication is successively started and, upon completion of the data communication, each terminal equipment is restored to the initial state. As a result, the processing time required for telemeter communication comes to the sum of the data communication time Tt plus marginal time alpha of each terminal equipment multiplied by the number of N-set of terminal equipment and the intermittent receiving period. Therefore, the telemeter communication processing time can be reduced sharply. |
