<p>PURPOSE:To aim at the promotion of lightweigtiness and improvement in motor durability by attaching a motor to the outside of a wheel disk, while attaching a brake drum to the inside after interposing a dust seal between this drum and a hub, in a direct-drive type motor-driven wheel bearing the above caption. CONSTITUTION:A rotor part 4 of a motor M is attached to the peripheral end of a wheel disk 2 from the outside of a wheel 3 with a bolt 5, and a motor cover 6 is tightly attached thereto with a bolt 7. In addition, a stator part 8 is tightly attached to a hub 1 from the outside of the wheel 3 by a bolt 9. Moreover, a brake drum 11 of a drum type brake 10 is attached to an inward end of the wheel disk 2 with a bolt 12, and a dust seal 13 is interposed between the brake drum 11 and the hub 1, thereby sealing a storage space of the stator part 8. With this constitution, simplicity in structure, lightweightiness and improvement in motor durability are all well promoted.</p> |
