摘要 PURPOSE:To minimize a shock due to a torque drop by applying constant operating pressure to a clutch or a brake at an engagement side when an engine load is low in up-shift operation, and immediately releasing the clutch or brake at a release side when a torque drop speed is high. CONSTITUTION:An electronic control means CPU sends an instruction to a fluid pressure selector means so that constant operating pressure is applied to a clutch or a brake at an engagement side, when an engine load is found low with an engine load detecting means 26 in up-shift operation. Then, CPU further sends an instruction to the fluid pressure selector means for the immediate release of the clutch or brake at a release side when a torque drop speed detecting means finds a high speed. According to the aforesaid construction, when the constant working pressure is too high before the release of the clutch or brake at the release side with the passage of time, double engagement takes place in the clutch or brake at the engagement and release sides. When the double engagement is too much and a torque drop begins to be excessive, the clutch or brake at the release side is immediately released and a torque drop is thereby kept minimum.
