PURPOSE:To measure the flow velocity in a combustion chamber multidimensionally using monochromatic laser by alternately shielding laser beams, divided into a plurality of sets by a beam splitting means, by a beam shielding means. CONSTITUTION:Monochromatic laser beam 12 is split into laser beams 12a, 12b, 12c, 12d for in X- and Y-direction measurement by a beam splitting means 12. These laser beams 12a - 12d are alternately shielded by the rotation of a beam shielding plate 25 to become the beams 12a, 12b in the X-direction and the beams 12c, 12d in the Y-direction and guided to the measuring point 15 in a combustion chamber. Next, the scattering beam 21 due to the beams 12a, 12b from the measuring point 15 and the scattering beam 21 due to the beams 12c, 12d are alternately and continuously incident to a photoelectric converter 22. Therefore, the speed in the X-direction and the speed in the Y- direction can be alternately calculated. By this method, the flow velocity in the combustion chamber can be measured two-dimensionally using inexpensive monochromatic laser. |
