PURPOSE:To make data processing efficient by constituting a data word by dividing one word into two parts of a high-order bit string and a low-order bit string of prescribed length respectively, and arranging immediate data and additional information in the high-order bit string and the low-order bit string respectively. CONSTITUTION:The data word 10 is constituted by dividing one word into two parts of the high-order bit string and the low-order bit string of the prescribed length respectively, and arranging the immediate data in the immediate data part 11 of the high-order bit string and the additional information in the additional information part 12 of the low-order bit string. Since the presence of overflow can be detected additionally by operation to arrange a calculated result in the immediate data part 11 on account of such the constitution of the data word 10, any special processing for check is not necessary. Thus, the efficiency of the immediate data processing in a computer to process data as considering it to be the pair of the immediate data and its additional information is improved. |
